That must be Paul 'Groucho' Smykle (is there a 'c' in it, I don't remember one) who remixed half of the Island/Mango/4th & Broadway 12 inchers that came out in the 80's! ;D I didn't know he did art.

I could photograph a few records I've received in the last week or so but there's only one which isn't a 7'' or 12'' in a generic sleeve: Apology for the flash photography. Kal, if you wish I can scan this sleeve, or maybe you only want scans of the ones you own? I haven't looked around the reggae wiki enough to see if you have uploaded any covers. I wonder who will be first to identify the CD that my Junior Wilson album is balanced on ..

It says on the back: Album illustrated by Paul Smykle For Dub Master Productions 1978. So I guess it has to be the same. Yeah, there was no 'c' in it. I haven't included any scans yet on the wiki. So no need to scan, but thanks for the offer. By the way ... is it a football he has on his head? ;D Regarding the CD ... it looks like the first part of the fantastic Roy Ayers collection released some years ago (I've only got pt. 2).

Definitely looks like a soccer influenced hat! ;D .. and no flies on you regarding the CD id: There were a bunch of 12'' EPs that came out for the Roy Ayers series - maybe (?) they were from the Virgin Ubiquity Remixed project which I don't have, I didn't see them in any shops, just listed at Dusty Groove.

HAHAHAHAHA! Jamaican style an' pattan! Either it's nice or outrageously ugly. Never seen that cover of the showcase. I've only seen the red cover with two ninjas fighting (very nice cover art on that one). Got this one today; Anyone that has any info on these deejays? Super Barry, Supa Wes, Scorcher B. and Junior Bapp.

A friend (thanks, SnarkusMarkus!) made me aware that Smykle also did the cover art for Aswads New Chapter Of Dub!
Talk about talent! Both with his eyes, ears and hands. Only think missing is that he would be a good chatter/singer too.

Went to buy some gifts in Amsterdam yesterday and unexpectedly got home with the Interns - Detour on Burning Sounds (as in kalcidis' list in the first post), Barry Brown - Step It Up Youthman on Paradise and Triston Palmer - Fancyness on Gorgon: Shopping the way I like it!

Fancyness I've always been curious about. Is it any good? Heard one song of it on the cuss cuss rhythm I think. That one I liked. Haven't heard the rest though.
Nice cath on the Barry and Interns! What did you pay for them, if I may ask?

Only tonight got the chance to listen to the Palmer set and I must admit that it's not as good as I hoped. It credits the Radics and, amongst others, Scientist so I kinda expected pure rub-a-dub niceness, but riddims are mainly a bit faster and it lacks that early 80s feel I love so much. I rate albums like Joker Smoker and Joker Lover much higher. It's still a nice album to have, but didn't live up to the expectations on first spin.
As for the prices, quite ok I thought, Interns €8,- and Barry and Triston both €11,- and all three in excellent condition. I love the Interns and Barry albums, really good. Expected the Barry to be the Jackpot repress when I saw it, but it turned out to be the Paradise issue, which I believe is the original press (for what that's worth).

€30 for those albums is a fantastic price. A pity about the Tristan though. Joker Lover is probably my favorite of the ones I have with him. Either Joker Lover or the Showcase on Black Roots.
