Rockers Revolt are delighted to announce their next release, the superb No.1 Station, will be in all good record shops on 6th October'08. Described by Mark Lamaar (BBC Radio 2) as “the UK’s premiere Ska band” No.1 Station are the vanguards of a new generation of Blue Beat. Playing a scorching blend of authentic Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae in the way it was originally intended. They’ve been single-handedly responsible for the resurgence of the seminal Blue Beat record label and have released half a dozen internationally acclaimed singles on the imprint. The first band to do so in decades.
'Boss Beat' boasts 15 scorching tracks, swaying from the authentic sound of ska to old school dancehall, from the sweetest harmony filled rocksteady to roots inspired dancefloor killers. It features a wonderful array of guest vocalists and mcs plus the legendary Tan Tan on trumpet (famed for his work with Georgie Fame, Rico, Ska Cubano and more). The album is produced by No.1 Station frontman/chief songwriter Sir Marcus Downbeat (one time member of Lee Perry's Upsetters).
After a hugely successful summer playing a record breaking 8 shows at Glastonbury plus; Rhythm, Rhythms Of The World, Lamaar Tree, Secret Garden Party and Kilburn Festivals, No1 Station will be touring the UK from October through to December.
