The turntables are switched on and the fluff has been picked out of the stylus, so step this way for another 60 minutes of fine Jamaican music, and among the highlights this time are a few classic harmony trios aswell as a couple of heavyweight rub-a-dub 12"s and a tribute to the Count Shelly Sound System all mixed in with the usual House of Reggae facts and figures. Just press the Play button at the link below..... houseofreggae.podomatic.com/Cheers, Ian

BTW, that must be the ropiest label since #10. House of Reggae .. Reggae .. Reggaehahaha, well nothing is quite as ropey as no.10. I think this one has a bit of 'sound man' character to it, although they're not my markings, but it certainly impressed me when I saw it in a 2nd hand shop a few years ago and the tune aint bad either! Cheers Funky D, hope you enjoy 'em, although I'm stone cold sober when recording these ones, so no bus lyrics in any of these, I learnt my lesson the hard way and I can assure you that no matter how much rum I drink in the future, that will never be repeated!!

Nice one, Ian. I did a search tonight on B&F. Sadly, to remind us of the once powerful BigMikeyRadio podcast empire, only two threads remain - the rest must have been deleted in The Big Cheyenne Bandwidth CleanUp Operation. A bit sad, really, to see Anonymous Guest and Anonymous Guest discuss a podcast, with Anonymous Guest adding smileys to the discussion. www.bloodandfire.co.uk/db/viewtopic.php?t=3374&highlight=bigmikeyThere's absolutely no trace of the infamous "SingalongaIan" two part session. The memory, however, shall live forever in my heart! You still got the recordings?

Yes thats quite a surreal discussion on that baf link, with most of the names now deleted. But Mikeys shoutcast shows were great though.
As for the original recordings, well I held a ceremonial burning of the master tapes and threw the ashes off Tower Bridge! ;-)
